ok i got it worked out... here is a quick explain... assuming you are working on the news text under the photo (it wont work with the news title on the right cause that links to the image/text under the image).

in the text you need this format of a link:

[a href='asfunction:_root.navSelect, 0'] testword [/a]

leave everything that is green and only change the red items.

the 0  is the id number of the section (0 - 12) and the 'testword' is the word you want to actually link. pretty simple, the only tough thing is figuring out what number is what section. here is quick lookup chart for it. they are pretty much in the order the nav has them and if this proves to be a hassle i can work it out a bit more so you can just type in the name of the section instead of the number. This should work throughout all the text that is in text documents but the only place i can think that you need it is news. if you want to link from another site to a section within the strokes site, i can do that, just takes a little more time.:

0 = Home
1 = News
2 = Tour
3 = Videos
4 = Store
5 = lyrics/album
6 = Photos
7 = BandPicks
8 = The Band
9 = Talk
10 = Extras
11 = MailingList
12 = Contact
