The Strokes, this video idea I've got in mind....Posted by Hxcjerbear23 on August 22, 2013 at 8:01 pm
This is the 8th track on Comedown Machine, titled "Partners in Crime"
There's people chilling at first, when two guys are walking into a bar to drink, we can start from outside, them walking. They look suspicious, you leave that part open to interpretation until the end of the video.
The bar's got to have that checkered floor, and a stage!! The dreamlike bar, 50's style, but the fashion a little bit different!!
Dudes are dressed in suits, or jackets, slicked back hair, and the girls should be in those cute little skirts, and big hair, with those white glossy shoes. I'm thinking more along the lines of 50's rock n' roll, swinging skirts.
Alright, song begins, it shows the kids sitting down eating, good vibes all around!! There should be red curtains closed up on a stage, there's got to be a vibe, like something is about to go down, but you don't know it just yet. Then the curtains open up, and it's The Strokes starting the song, "Partners in Crime"!! The kids get all surprised, happy, and and start diggin what they hear!!! They look up at the band at first, but then like 5 seconds into the song, they all decide to stand up and start dancing in that 50's syle!!
The stage lights with blue and the red lights go on!! That's where it's a little different, where this is an adding of light to the entire bar. When the song gets to this part...("Oh well, Oh well, Oh well, leaving your tears alone, run down your face, And escapes")....
Here at this part everything goes really dark in the bar, all lights go off, like pitch can't see anything!!! Then once the drum kicks the song back in,("Hey there, how goes it?!) it shows all the kids, dancing in circles all fast!!!
It will then zoom in on The Strokes, performing on stage, each one the dudes, wearing sunglasses, this would represent a unified band with the disco lights only reflecting off of them!!
I listen to this track, and have a vision for it!! I've been a fan of The Strokes for a decade now!! I think It would be awesome for all my friends who are also fans, know that you guys made a video for this song as they've heard my idea as well and found it promising!!
I'm like really thinking this idea could go a long way for one of there best music videos, and best songs!! To the band and fans, I hope you all like my vision, and enjoyed reading this!!
To The Strokes as a long time fan,
