best souvenirs of concerts

Posted by Nat on

[b]We all have a fav concert , not only because the music was good ...
Many things can make a concert memorable and a concert day unforgettable.

I remember how cool it was to see and hear the band in Lyon (france) in the antique theater (outdoor arena theater)... the moment was magic .
great music, great sound and no problem watching the stage . I took this one :

fab's bottle of water and a setlist.
is that weird?
my friend took his beer.

I just remembered one of my best memrable souvenirs. My friend and I found a backstage parking ticket inside the venue. We used it after the show and got in. That was the best! Totally meant to be.
Omg! Would they just give you a guitar pick if you asked them to?
you can catch picks at concerts, when they throw them out...

not the whole band, but i have a signed 'como te llama' cd and a pic with albert :D
from the day it was released .. july 8
and the memories (haha) of being at such a small concert with 1/5th of my favorite band in arm's length

this isnt really a souvenir, but the artwork on the cover of albert's first album was hanging in the club that i saw them in. so just knowing that is kinda a souvenir ;)

I have Niko's pick. My sister and I literally fought over it for hours.

I think we're talking about THE STROKES!

A friend of mine went to an Oasis concert and came into uni the next day with a huge bruise on her head. Liam threw his tambourine into the crowd and it knocked her out. But at least she got to keep the tambourine.

Total I have, pictures with 3 of the guys, a shirt signed by Fabrizio, FIOE cover signed by 4 of the guys, several ticket stubs and a poster that are signed. I obtained all signatures myself during the FIOE tour. Good times!
The best souvenirs was in may 2006...first show in Montreal: amazing...then got to meet and get a pic with Jules and then i went to Ottawa for the next concert and Julian recognize me in the front row and said hi, because i told him i was going to see them in Ottawa. Couple of months after we went to Albany for another show and met and picture with Nikolai and Fab. The year after Albert played in a venue a couple streets from my apartment and the show was very good...I really miss The Strokes...! ;)
Hi Gab I'm from Montreal and I missed that show because I just discover the band earlier this year ! I wish I knew them before ! I can't wait to see them next time they play Montreal !
Do you remember if they talked a bit in french and the picture you take with Julian did you met him before or after the show ?
thanks !

Thats a great pic, Nat! Unfortunately, I jumped on The Strokes train as it was pulling into the hiatus station, so I haven't seen them live.
They played a cover of "Walk On The Wild" at the show in SLC. I keep the memory as a souvenir.(yes, I know that's probably the cheesiest thing anyone has ever written on the mess. board)

Lucky all of you I can't wait to see them live ! But Nat did he talk a lot in french and do you remember what did he say?
I saw les Eurockennes festival and he talks a bit and I listen to the audio in Paris and he talks a little bit more!
I'm just wondering because I'm living in Montreal and we talk french here and I absolutely love when they talk in french !
