OMG this show is so life-changing and important. It's like the 9/11 of TV. It taught me that if I'm stupid enough to have relations with people that I have to keep the baby as punishment for being a bad person. That must be why Julian asked Juliet to marry him 2 months after they started dating. He was probably so tired of waiting to finally give his special flower to someone he truly loves.
In reality, it's a horrible show. It treats pregnancy, not impending parenthood, as the problem. Her worst fear is that her parents will find out, not whether or not she can afford to raise a child. This girl is being put out there as a role model, and she doesn't even have the stones to tell the father of her child that she's knocked up. It's also horrible to have a father telling his daughters that they need to judge their own actions by whether or not they'll be attractive to men.
The girl isnt used as a role model. She's used to show not to have sex or you'll be in a fucked up situation like she is in now. And the father.. I guess he just didnt like that girl to look the way she did.. like gothic.. and says that it will repel the guys. like families kinda do that sometimes i wouldnt necesarily see it as a bad thing.. its kinda hard to explain if you dont know what i mean

oh great, just what we need: a show that portrays what all American teenagers are about - ignorance.

I liked how the dad told his daughters they weren't sexy.

what the hell haha "special flower"

anyways i saw it.. its basically like a high school obsessed with talking about sex. i thought it was cool how the popular girl had a brother with a mental disorder and the family stil lloved him and everything. and how she had a purity ring and is so nice to everyone. it shows how you dont have to be sleezy and mean to be well liked even though a lot of the people who liked her were sex crazed guys. i also thought it was cool to have that guy who was abused by his dad.. cause it shows how he became the guy who keept hooking up with girls to prove his masculinity. its an interesting show.. its like the extreme version of reality but maybe this extremeness is needed to make people really realize things
