Did Nick Valensi know Paris Hilton at the Dwight School?

Posted by hardtoexplain on

Cause they're both 27 and would have gone during the same year.. lol any details on that?

And holy crap.. I looked on the website for the school Albert and Jules went to.. the Le Rosey thing in Switzerland. It costs 160,000 U.S. dollars per YEAR! WTFFFF thats like more than college! Thats a house! How the fuck do people afford that every year? In addition to everything else they'd need

And yet I'm absolutely right without acknowledgment from hardtoexplain. It was hardly worth it.

Yes, Viv, currently the exchange rate would make it $98,000 but I'm assuming it was $96,000 at the time.

Don't forget I'm adding the $19,000 for other services that are both optional and mandatory like it says in Wikipedia and just as it probably says in the pdf but I'm not going to bother to add it up to make sure.

Uh huh. cause I just edited it and made thestrokes.com the link to the school website.
No, you didn't. Now you're just being an idiot.

You have yet to answer my question about whether you're adding the amount twice. It seems as though you are. I can't figure out where you're getting the number from, otherwise.

Remember - the left hand side of the pdf is in French, the right hand side in English. You're adding the amounts twice for some reason.

Still, $96,000 for last year's tuition is quite a lot of money.

WHO CARES.

you do realize one side is in French and one side is in English? Is that what you're doing? Adding it twice?

calm down. i think it's only about $100,000 USD and it was probably only $50,000 when Julian and Albert went.

they met Sean Lennon there too
Inflation does not work that way.

Going by Wiki, tuition was $15,000 in 1981 and in 2007 it was $96,000. If I split the difference between 26 years ($3,115 per year) it would be $46,000 in 1991. It's just guesswork, dear.
Well isn't there egg on my face. In my defense most things don't cost twice what they did ~15 years ago.

How long did Julian actually stay at that boarding school ? I think Albert stayed longer, or not?

no, i translated it and its about 160,000 dollars though I guess it could have been somewhat different in the 90s. Thats still a lot of money though, if its 100,000.

Well, Julian's dad owned a hugely successful modeling agency, and Albert's dad wrote one of the most played AM radio hits of the 70s.
