All Things Hot and Tasty

Posted by strokesnerd79 on

OK, so I'd like to get the ball rolling on this. Things here should range from people to food, in no particular order. So with that in mind:

First is vegan tamales which I'm going to attempt to make this Tuesday. Second is Milo Ventimiglia. Yowza.

I'm Cherokee and French!

I think it's a clip from the "Closer" video. I might be wrong.

WTF??
Nice looking.
Now I know you're just being silly.

So, bondage ain't my thing, but Trent Reznor just... whoa. He can make most anything work:

Nice looking.

That's just not true:

Everyone with a suit is.

KOS is going to be laughing all damn night (or morning, where he lives), but I don't give a crap.

He might be only 1m65 / 5'5, he might be 19 1/2 years older than me... but he's so nice looking.

Ohh, Trent Reznor. How could I forget him? Well, here he is now.

Rowwwr.

He probably didn't realise that you were talking about the girl on the cover of NG. It was a long time ago. And if he wasn't raised in the western world, I doubt that he ever knew about it.

So, I know he isn't really Middle-Eastern (he's Indian) but the person who plays Sayid Jarrah on the show "Lost" (which I miss and I hope doesn't go off the air this coming season), Naveen Andrews, good lord is he handsome. At least his character is in an exotic way. I believe the term is "doable". And ok, I know this is western, so I'm straying off the eastern theme, but I just thought of him for no reason:

Melvil Poupaud:

I don't care if he is gay, he's hot.
Yep. I know she's an Afghanistan refugee and she's had a hard life, but she really looks bad now:

There's a chick that works at Dunkin' Donuts that looks just like the young girl. I tried to explain it to her brother, but he was like WTF is the white girl going on about. I just took my Turbo hot and drove off. Crazy Middle-Easterns.

Kind of makes you grateful that you're not in that position. And yet the irony is that some people who may not be from poverty-stricken lands are living in pitiable conditions in this day and age. Take America for example: possibly the richest nation on Earth, yet there are so many living in poverty.

However, I am glad that Middle Eastern food exists. This is the Mediterranean version, used with olive oil instead of sesame oil, and served with tomatoes and olives, etc. Hummus, yum yum:

I remember she was in a very first cover and they found her again later (like 20 years later) and took other pics.

Aw, shucks, it must've accidentally been deleted. Ah well, 'ere we go again.

RAAAAAWWWRR

note to nerdy : they aren't really the child's eyes.

That last picture of yours is nice, Tika. The child has really pretty eyes. It reminds me of an old issue of National Geographic with this then-little girl on the cover:

And these two guys have the brightest, bluest eyes I've ever seen. They're almost too gorgeous:

Jonathan Rhys Meyers:

Cillian Murphy:
Here's where I'm going to swap the Mexican theme for a Cuban one (and let me just say, hot damn!):

Plátanos fritos/ plantains... and no picture, but served with (vegan) Cuban black bean soup:

VIVA VENEZUELA!

You're trying to make me jealous, aren't you? Nice try:

I love that stuff. I eat it on crackers or sometimes melt it for pizza. I think I'll buy the Monterrey Jack kind next time and make a lasagna.

So now we switched to the Italian theme:

James Franco

I know he's short, only 1.67m / 5'6", but he's really attractive.

PS: Kafel, I didn't know you liked your men bald.

You could almost hear it melt.

Here's where I'm going to swap the Mexican theme for a Cuban one (and let me just say, hot damn!):

Danny Pino (from that show, "Coldcase"):

I'll admit that David Duchovny looked better in the mid to late '90s, and yeah he's not aging so well. But he did it for me then. I haven't seen the second movie, for two reasons: 1. I'm afraid it'll ruin the first film, and 2. I'm too cheap to spend $8+ to spend two or so hours in a theatre. When I was 13 and the first movie came out, I remember I had been in another movie and popped in to that one after the first had ended to watch it. I don't remember if I stayed for the ending. But I do know I later went back and paid to see it. Then again the tickets then were $5.50 for a matinée. Damn greedy Hollywood.

Yeah Maniqui, I do absolutely love Mexican food. I'm determined to veganize it and still keep it authentic, and I must say I'm quite good at it. And now thanks to an earlier post, I'm determined to try to make churros!

wow!! looks like we enjoy mexican food!
Ok, I'll try but I'll probably screw this up:

Oooh, hey it works! I'll post my pics of my own tamales after I make them, if I can figure out how (things are a bit confusing with Macs, especially photo sharing). But here's roughly what they'll look like:

For the love of God, Sheshat -- tell me who that is! He's friggin' nice looking!!

Update: I have to make my tamales on Friday because I have to go to another store to find corn husks. We don't have any Latino grocery stores here, and while I'd like to give the local store here props for selling salsa verde (green sauce, made from tomatillos/green tomatoes and cilantro, et cetera) and bagged pimientos rojos picantes (red chile peppers), they unfortunately don't sell las hojas de maíz (corn husks). So it'll have to wait another day or two. Wish me luck, darlings!

PS: are those samosas? MMM.

And hey, Red light, this isn't a thread where only gay guys and straight girls can post pictures of people they find attractive, so feel free to add on.
