The Last Shadow Puppets - Age of the Understatement, The Courteeners - St Jude, Lady Gaga - The Fame

Shiiiiiiiiit how could I forget Girls Aloud?! My favourite song is Untouchable.
And Fleet Foxes, damnit. Was that 2007 or 2008 though? I have no idea about this stuff.

nice choices!

Think if I add my 2 "cents" I could make it the most voted for album... that would be KOL only by the night, cracking and very different album yet again. And the Vampire Weekend album also grew on me like a filthy rash.

My only other one is perhaps the Bloc Party album, Intimacy

I would like to please retract Crystal Castles from my list. It's not that great of an album. I think I just like Vanished too much. There was also that month that I was obsessed with Crimewave.
Anyways, that's off my list.

cw stoneking-jungle blues

only by the night - the kings of leon
day and age - the killers
santogold - santogold
here we stand - the fratellis
consolers of the lonely - the raconteurs

and thats all at the top of my head. but those rocked pretty my opnion

The Raconteurs Consolers of the Lonely
and maybe some others

In no particular order:

All We Could Do Was Sing by Port O'Brien
For Emma, Forever Ago by Bon Iver
Little Joy's self-titled
Crystal Castles' self-titled
Conor Oberst's self-titled
Oracular Spectacular by MGMT
Midnight Boom by The Kills (it was 2008, right?)
I Am...Sasha Fierce by Beyonce
Volume One by She & Him

The Bon Iver record was self-released in 07 and got a full label release in 08 so I'm not sure if it's an 08 or 07 album.
